Frequenty Asked Questions
What's the point? There are lots of todo list apps already available.
My wife and I often trade e-mails with notes and lists. For groceries I should collect on the way home, ideas for gifts for the children at Christmas, or things we need for the upcoming camping trip. Of course, e-mail isn't ideal for this; you end up with multiple copies of the mail and it's always hard to find the mail just when you need it. I wanted a todolist app that was really focused on sharing and collaboration. No fuss, no noise, just simple lists and sharing. That's what I tried to build with doto.
How do I delete lists?
You can leave a list by sliding to the right or left on the list's name just like you delete your e-mail in the iOS mail app. If you're the last member of a list, all items will be deleted.
Why can't I remove a member of my list?
Once a user accepts an invite, they're an equal member of the list. So they have full permissions and they can only choose to leave the list themselves as described above. This is by design and a core tenet of the application's design.
